MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford, ME, is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Eligible Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join their team. This position requires providing clinical care in both outpatient and inpatient settings as a full scope OB GYN physician. Responsibilities will include inpatient obstetrical coverage of labor and delivery and gynecologic emergencies. Care delivery will be with your own outpatient panel of patients, major gynecologic surgery including minimally invasive hysterectomy and full-scope reproductive healthcare delivery.

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center-Biddeford is a non-profit, full-service campus with 125 acute care beds performing 500 deliveries annually. The physician will join a stable OB/GYN department with very low physician turnover. The group is currently composed of 7 generalist OB/GYN s and 2 advanced care providers. Physicians practice the full range of general OB/GYN, providing outpatient OB and GYN care at offices in Biddeford, ME and Sanford, ME. A full-time position includes a 4-day work week with overnight call approximately 1:7. The group is strongly committed to physician wellness and providing a reasonable work/life balance.

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center-Biddeford has a strong connection with the University of New England (UNE) medical school with third year medical students participating in rotations in OB/GYN in addition to our other specialties as well as connections to the Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) Maine Track Program with opportunities for faculty academic appointment at both schools.

The Biddeford group also has a strong and collaborative relationship with MaineHealth Maine Medical Center-Portland, a quaternary Level IV maternal center located in Portland, ME, allowing easy access to subspecialists consultation in MFM, GYN Oncology, and Urogynecology.

This is an outstanding opportunity to live and practice in beautiful, coastal Maine. The area provides four season recreational opportunities, including skiing, hiking, boating, biking, and miles of beautiful beaches. Just an hour and a half north of Boston, and 20 minutes south of Portland, the area is safe, vibrant, and has excellent public and private schools.
