Overview
NEUROHOSPITALIST POSTION AVAILABLE AT CHI MEMORIAL NEUROSCIENCE INSTITUTE CHI Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a full-time Neurohospitalist. This position will be integral to the operations of a world-renowned comprehensive stroke center team expert in both clinical care and neurologic research. Building on one of the largest and most organized neurology referral networks in the US, the position offers outstanding opportunity for a board-eligible or board-certified neurologist interested in working at the forefront of the field of neurology. The position involves a 7-on/7-off schedule with work shared between two teams, one focused on general neurology and the second focused on acute stroke management led by stroke-fellowship trained neurologists. Neurohospitalists with fellowship training in any area of neurology are preferred, but non-fellowship trained neurologists will also be considered for the general neurohospitalist position. Our organization has great experience managing VISA applications if needed. CHI Memorial is a comprehensive stroke center with strong existing neurohospitalist, neuro interventional, and neurosurgery components all under a single highly collegial Institute of Neuroscience. At the forefront of acute stroke research for over 15 years, our team is looking for candidates with a passion to provide excellence in clinical care. Our team currently co-directs the national Neuroscience collaborative for CommonSpirit, our parent company, the second largest health care system in the country. With tremendous support from our hospital administration and tight collaboration with our partner hospitals nation-wide including Baylor St Luke’s in Houston and the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, our program is focused on adoption of protocols and technology driving to the very best patient outcomes. With strong academic affiliation, ample opportunities for involvement in teaching and/or research on a local, regional, or national level are available for interested candidates. Located in the internationally renowned mid-sized city of Chattanooga, the position boasts one of the most beautiful and family friendly locations to work and play worldwide.

Opportunity:
- Candidates must be board-eligible, or board-certified in neurology with or without fellowship in neurology.
- The position would be supported by a large team of clinicians with expertise in stroke neurology, neuroimaging, neurocritical care, neurointervention, neurosurgery and outpatient neurology.
- Exceptional clinical research support is available through the Chattanooga Center for Neurologic Research, a world leader in the execution of acute stroke research including artificial intelligence, device, stem cell and other pharma clinical trials. Funding support for research is also available through the Neuroscience Innovation Foundation, a private Chattanooga-based non-profit.
