UMass Memorial Medical Center, the clinical partner of the UMass Chan Medical School, seeks a BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty member to join our high performing academic division.

UMass Memorial Health and the state of Massachusetts welcome OB/GYN providers to autonomously practice within the full scope of their specialty/subspecialty and licenses, and to vigilantly and continuously promote the opportunity to support healthy lives for all individuals seeking obstetric, gynecologic, and reproductive health care from prevention to treatment, and their families.

The division of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) consists of ten fellowship trained perinatologists, two nurse practitioners, and three maternal fetal medicine fellows. The team also includes specially trained nurses, sonographers, genetic counselors, dieticians, and social workers. The entire MFM division is committed to training fellows, residents, and medical students, participating in clinical research, and providing excellent clinical care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies, as well as women with medical conditions who are anticipating pregnancy. Areas of interest include multiple gestations, hypertension, chronic heart or kidney disease, diabetes, seizure disorders, genetic concerns, previous preterm or difficult pregnancies and more.

The ideal candidate should have experience and enthusiasm for OB ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and high-risk pregnancy care. Interested candidates should also have an interest in teaching.

Located in Central Massachusetts, Worcester is the second largest city in Massachusetts and in New England.  Worcester and the surrounding area have a strong and diverse economic base with family-oriented communities offering excellent school systems.  The cultural offerings are abundant.  Boston is only forty miles away, and lakes, beaches and mountains are all easily accessible.

An academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with training, experience, and achievements.

As the leading employer in the Worcester area, we look to draw talent and ideas from individuals of different backgrounds and viewpoints.
