Centra Medical Group) is currently seeking an OBGYN to join our collaborative practice, which includes physicians, nurse practitioners, and certified nurse midwives (CNMs). This position will be split between our Lynchburg and Farmville locations, providing comprehensive care in a supportive and state-of-the-art environment with a focus on patient care and provider satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide OBGYN care in a collaborative practice with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurse midwives.
• Participate in shared call coverage, with triage and inpatient obstetrics primarily handled by experienced CNMs.
• Provide call coverage for one weekend per month
• Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and surgical procedures, including access to the daVinci Surgical System.
• Collaborate with the University of Virginia (UVA) Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Service, including remote and bi-monthly on-site consultations.
• Engage in collaborative opportunities.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding gynecologic, reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth. Facility and Resources:
• Southside Community Hospital:
  • Newly renovated, spacious clinic with in-house ultrasound and lab facilities.
  • Located one floor below labor and delivery and the operating room.
  • Newborn nursery with neonatal transport team available within a 1-hour drive.
• Centra's Virginia Baptist Hospital
  • Magnet Certified facility with supportive in-house consulting physicians, anesthesia, and a Level III NICU.
• In-house anesthesia providers and pediatricians are available for births at both locations
• daVinci Surgical System available in both Lynchburg and Farmville locations

These plans include the construction of a new specialty office building, which will house the Brain and Spine programs along with other surgical specialists. In addition, a new 5-story patient care tower will house an additional 100 patients at Lynchburg General Hospital. The LGH Emergency Department will be replaced and incorporated as part of the new Northeast Tower

• Compensation Range base $320k+

Two reputable universities, Longwood and Hampden Sydney, bring culture and arts to the area, and the 31-mile-long High Bridge Trail offers great walking and cycling (new single track trails added) opportunities and is accessible right in the busy historic shopping district. Gorgeous countryside, rich history, good restaurants, a brewery, a hip updated hotel with rooftop bar, and a wine tasting room round out the fun. Richmond, Charlottesville, and Lynchburg are all between a 45 and 75-minute drive.
