Job Details

The Division of Public Health, Infectious Diseases, and Occupational Medicine is seeking an exceptional Occupational Medicine or Aerospace Medicine physician. Priority will be given to applicants holding board certification in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, or with a keen interest in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Our Occupational and Aerospace Medicine practice serves diverse occupational groups such as healthcare workers, aviators, transportation professionals, and other safety-sensitive workers. Our highly trained and motivated Hyperbaric Medicine team provides care in a state-of-the-art multiplace and monoplace facility, capable of managing any level of patient acuity. Our AMEs evaluate complex commercial aviators, including those requiring Special Issuances or HIMS monitoring.

In this role, you will join a welcoming and collegial team engaged in patient care, teaching, and research in Occupational, Hyperbaric, and Aerospace Medicine. Our goal is to ensure every physician thrives personally and professionally through formal and informal mentoring, an individualized professional development plan, and a rich network of resources. Our physician group is close-knit; we have fun together, we support each other, and we know that work-life balance is necessary for long-term success. You will contribute to the clinical practice and be part of a diverse team that explores innovative care models and seeks ways to employ exciting new advances in technology to improve patient outcomes and transform our specialty.

If you want to join a team that is transforming care for workers, aviators, and HBOT patients, this is your ideal destination!

QUALIFICATIONS:

     * Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Occupational Medicine or Aerospace Medicine.

     * Board certification in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine is preferred; those with a keen interest in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) are also encouraged to apply.

     * Experience as an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) or flight surgeon is a plus.

     * Additional board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is beneficial.

     * A strong interest in academic pursuits, including peer-reviewed publications, clinical or epidemiologic research, and practice innovation, is encouraged.
