The schedule for this position is 24-hour shifts, running from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Responsibilities include a wide range of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, such as adult and congenital cardiac surgery, CABG (including off-pump and redo procedures), arterial revascularization, heart valve repair or replacement, thoracic aortic aneurysm repair, thoracotomy (lung biopsies, resections, decortications), and mediastinal surgeries. Additional duties include procedures like tracheostomy, pericardial window creation, bronchoscopy, and open aneurysm repair.
