The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida, Morsani School of Medicine is searching for a Glaucoma specialist to join our growing department. The candidate must be eligible for appointment as an Assistant Professor or higher at the University of South Florida. Responsibilities for this position include delivering exceptional patient care in an environment of academic and research collaborations. Our growing department consists of all ophthalmic subspecialties. Our faculty provides clinical services for patients at Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare. Our residency program is extremely competitive and consists of 12 residents and three fellowship programs in cornea, glaucoma, and retina. Our research division consists of three PhD researchers specializing in ophthalmology. Our Department of Ophthalmology is affiliated with the Tampa General Hospital system. Our department is growing with plans to expand our signature of excellence in patient care by adding clinical and research faculty members.
This opportunity is for the candidate who is interested in teaching the next generation of ophthalmologists and developing a career in academic medicine in an excellent environment for clinical practice, education, and research. Candidates will need a medical degree from an accredited institution to be board certified or board eligible in ophthalmology and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Florida.
