We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and managerial skills and out of residency a minimum of 5 years. The ideal candidate will provide oversight of the program to ensure regulatory compliance with the requirements of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), its Residency Review Committee (RRC), and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The candidate will also ensure the completeness of the educational training experience, comply with institutional and regulatory guidelines, and maintain the adequacy of the educational environment.
Responsibilities will also include oversight of the candidate recruitment process, management of the program s budget and review of performance measures and use of staff resources appropriate to the program s need. In addition, the Director will participate in the institutional graduate medical education committee and provide supervision to fellows, residents and other trainees caring for patients under the auspices of the department.
This key leadership position will work collaboratively with Hospital and Health System leaders to meet and exceed the organization s clinical, operational, and financial goals. The residency program will provide advanced education in hospital-based obstetrics and gynecology, focused on maximizing patient safety. This program will provide strong clinical, surgical and healthcare systems training in both academic and community hospital settings. High-quality training will be given by experienced OB-GYN hospitalist, maternal fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, family planning and urogynecology faculty. Residents will also be exposed to national leaders in the specialty at the annual American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) meeting, where they can present research projects.
