TidalHealth on Maryland's Coast is a grade A, academic medical center committed to providing high-quality care, advancing medical research, and training the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are seeking a OB/GYN Generalist to join our core faculty in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for medical education, clinical care, and research, contributing to the growth of our department and the advancement of women's health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Education: Supervise and mentor OB/GYN residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Provide didactic teaching, hands-on instruction, and feedback to residents and medical students.
  • Clinical Care: Provide high-quality patient care in obstetrics and gynecology, including routine and high-risk obstetric care, gynecological surgery, and preventive services.
  • Research & Scholarly Activity: Participate in clinical research and scholarly activities. Support residents in their research endeavors and contribute to academic publications and presentations.
  • Leadership & Quality Improvement: Engage in departmental committees, quality improvement projects, and patient safety initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Service: Contribute to department and hospital service responsibilities, including call coverage and clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Ability to obtain a Maryland license.
  • Experience in resident or medical student teaching is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to patient care, education, and research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty area of OB/GYN (e.g., Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology, etc.) is a plus, though not required.
  • Demonstrated track record of scholarly activity and research.
  • Leadership experience in academic medicine.

Being minutes from Ocean City, Maryland, the area is a tourist destination in the summer for its beaches and is equidistant between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland. The beautiful Wicomico River winds through downtown Salisbury offering relaxing outdoor dining and picturesque festivals. The surrounding beach areas host events with nationally acclaimed musicians throughout the summer. The region has excellent outdoor recreational activities including the full spectrum of watersports, golf, biking and is home to the Delmarva Shorebirds, which is the minor league team affiliated with the Baltimore Orioles.


The approved hiring range is minimum $280,000 and maximum $660,000
