The University of Utah Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship has one available position to start in July 2025 and is also accepting applications to start in July 2026. Our one-year program is designed to provide COCATS level III training in cardiac MRI and CT. We have strong clinical, translational, and basic research collaborations between cardiology and radiology. Our fellows work closely with both cardiologists and radiologists, as well as PhD MRI physicists. We are a high volume, tertiary referral center with state-of-the-art MRI and CT equipment and perform studies on patients with a wide range of cardiac disorders.
Fellows participate in didactic lectures on a variety of topics, including MRI physics. One-on-one teaching between the attending and fellows during interpretation of MRI and CT cases is an important part of the program and provides substantial hands-on learning. The program s aim is to help fellows meet their career goals and encourage them to be leaders in the field of advanced imaging. Aside from the fellowship training, our fellows enjoy abundant outdoor activities in the immediate area, including hiking/biking/fishing and <30 minute access to multiple world-class ski resorts.
We accept 1-2 candidates per year. Qualified candidates will have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in cardiovascular disease and will have a valid U.S. medical license.
All interested applicants can apply by providing us with your CV, brief personal statement/career objectives, and three letters of recommendation (one from your program director). Also, please also indicate citizenship/visa status.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (301) 455-3635.
Candidates are considered on a rolling basis. Application materials should be sent to:
