Job Description

The Cincinnati, OH VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Interdisciplinary Psychiatrist to see outpatient veterans at the main campus of the CVAMC and the Clermont Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). You will be a participant in the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) providing care to veterans presenting with a variety of mental health issues. The Psychiatrist is in the Mental Health Care Line and serves to provide direct care for Veterans who present with complex psychiatric and substance abuse issues. The psychiatrist: Provides high quality clinical examination, diagnosis, crisis intervention, patient management, consultation, and appropriate documentation in clinical records. Will have responsibilities serving as an attending physician in multidisciplinary, team-based care. This may involve teaching medical students, residents, and/or fellows. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing care to veterans with a variety of mental health issues. Providing general mental health care in an outpatient setting

Work Schedule: 0.6 FTE at the Clermont Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (COB) and 0.4 FTE at the Main Campus of the CVAMC; Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm

  • Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
  • CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
  • Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
