Physician/Nocturnist

Luminis Health, a progressive health system headquartered in picturesque Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking a Full Time Physician/Nocturnist.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing internal medicine care in all areas of the hospital including, but not limited to: Emergency Room admissions and consults, inpatient internal medicine care, and medical consultation on surgical patients
• Giving cross coverage support to patients on the Adult Hospitalist service
• Facilitating communication and interactions between patients, families, peers, ancillary staff, and consultants
• Incorporating evidence-based practices in clinical decision making and providing high quality care as judged by medical peers
• Ensuring accurate and timely completion of medical records, orders, and documentation to maintain compliance with medical staff, local/state/federal, licensure and accreditation requirements
• Efficiently using hospital and healthcare resources; generating length of stays and hospital charges that are, on average, below that of non-hospitalist medical peers
• Performing duties in accordance with established routine procedures as set forth by the State of Maryland, BPQA (Board of Physicians Quality Assurance), AMA (American Medical Association), HCFA, and AAHS policies, within time frames established by the department

Requirements include:

• Board certification in Internal Medicine
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maryland, DEA, and CDS
