Join a Patient-Centered Urology Team in Central Illinois: Subspecialties Welcome | Full APP Supp...
A leading faith-based health system in central Illinois is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Urologist to join their team. This role is perfect for a general urologist, with strong support available for those with subspecialty interests. Particularly exciting to the practice would be a Reconstructionist (with fellowship training and interest in urethral reconstructions) or a Urologic Oncologist (to support volume in kidney cases/partial nephrectomies and radical cystectomies).
Hospital Highlights:
This medical center has grown into the fifth-largest in Illinois, with nearly 5,000 employees and 600+ patient beds. It is the area s only Level 1 Trauma Center.
Major teaching affiliate of a nearby college of medicine.
The health system's cancer institute is a new, state-of-the-art facility offering research spaces, exam rooms, laboratories, a pharmacy, and a diagnostic center.
Position Highlights:
Join a team of 4 urologists, 8 highly skilled APPs (who take first call during the day and provide support on weekends), and two private surgical techs who handle robots and cysto cases.
For experienced providers, you will walk into a busy and productive practice with immediate volume. Fantastic leadership and mentorship are available for new grads who would like to grow into a niche or have a proctor for large, complex cases.
Robotic experience is preferred but not required. Available for use: three da Vinci robotics, 2 Moses lasers, Holmium laser, CO2 laser, Ultrasound probe for the robot, and the capability to do fusion biopsies.
Call is 1:6 weekends, and general urology for call is expected from all providers.
Referral support from a large multi-specialty group and robust hospitalist group.
Generous compensation package plus incentives, loan repayment options, training stipend, paid relocation package, and sign-on bonus.
Benefits include PTO, paid holidays, a generous amount of sick time per year, paid occurrence-based malpractice, CME, association membership dues, health, life, and dental insurance, and a retirement plan.
There is interest in developing a Urology Residency program in the future. A Program Director candidate would be responsible for laying the groundwork to launch this program in collaboration with the local college of medicine, which is one of four campuses that make up the nation s largest public medical school.
Area Highlights:
Experience life in a vibrant, mid-sized community nestled along the Illinois River in central Illinois. Known for its safe and serene neighborhoods, this city is perfect for young families. Its fantastic central location provides convenient transportation options, including an international airport and easy access to Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis each just a car or train ride away in three hours or less. Enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, diverse dining options, and a particularly large cluster of Irish pubs! With the cost of living significantly below the national average and incredibly affordable housing, this mid-sized city offers a great balance of local entertainment without feeling too rural. The community also features a local university and outstanding schools, with various public and private options, including faith-based and non-faith-based choices. Boasting a warm, family-friendly atmosphere and safe neighborhoods, this city is a wonderful place to call home.
