John Stoddard Cancer Center , a service of UnityPoint Health Des Moines, is among the top achieving cancer programs in the nation and has been recognized for its quality cancer care. We have been a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program for over 45 years. We are also a Breast Cancer Center and Clinical Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence. This is a result of decades of research, cancer treatment experience and cancer care technology. ?We have one of the most technologically advanced and diverse radiation oncology departments in the Midwest. Patients and their families have access to a wide range of services that were created to provide them with comprehensive and compassionate care including oncology navigators, patient support groups, nutritional support, survivorship, genetic counseling, and wellness programs. The UnityPoint Health - John Stoddard Cancer Center is privileged to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of skilled physicians providing state-of-the-art care in Central Iowa. Responsibilities
Practice details:
- Full time position with predominantly outpatient practice. Inpatient care will be in collaboration with our exceptional and high-quality hospitalist team.
- Work closely with our expert radiation oncology team at UnityPoint Health DM.
- You will enjoy being part of a strong medical group. UnityPoint Clinic employs the largest primary care network in the Des Moines metro. We also have numerous employed medical and surgical specialists. We are aligned with community imaging, pathology, GI, and urology groups.
- Enjoy the ease of our integrated electronic health record. EPIC is utilized across the entirety of UnityPoint Health.
- Be part of something bigger. UnityPoint Clinic has existing medical oncology practices in Waterloo and the Quad Cities. We deliver pediatric, adolescent and young adult oncology care to children and AYA s from across Iowa at Blank Children s Hospital located in Des Moines.
- You will have access to clinical trials through the National Cancer Institute s Community Oncology Research Program. You will have access to all the resources of John Stoddard Cancer Center.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications
- Eligible to work in the United States
- H1B and J1 waiver available
