Overview
Dignity Health Medical Group is actively seeking a highly patient-centric physician to serve as a Nocturnist at Chandler Regional Medical Center. Chandler Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is a full-service acute care hospital with 100+ intensive care beds located just outside of downtown Phoenix. The hospital has approximately 78,000 emergency department annual visits and is the busiest Level 1 trauma center in the state of Arizona, with over 5000 trauma activations annually. It is also a primary stroke center, high volume neurosurgery center, and provides high acuity cardiovascular and cardiac surgery services. Critical care services are provided in house, 24 hours a day, by attending intensivists.

Responsibilities
- Provides inpatient consults to patients admitted to the hospital, including critically ill floor patientsProvides direct patient care for internal medicine conditions, treating diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart attacks, and other serious illnesses; Discharges patients from the ER or Clinical Decision Unit as necessaryTeaches medical students, residents and medical staff. Assists manager of department in evaluating clinical competencies of staff and participates in formal and informal staff education and training programs on a regular basisReports to the Program Director in matters relating to educationProvides input into the development and implementation of appropriate clinical programs and technologyCommunicates with colleagues and other members of the medical staff to promote positive relationsAssists department in collecting data for medical quality/performance improvement (QI) programAverage census is 15-17 but can be as high as 20 at times
Qualifications
- MD or DO Degree and Active Board CertificationMust have or be eligible for Arizona State medical licensureCompleted ACGME Residency training with current ABMS Board CertificationFaculty Hospitalist experience is preferred, but not requiredAbility to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitalsIs a team-oriented provider that is passionate about providing quality care and furthering the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while serving the poor and underprivileged
