Chairperson of Cardiology
Nassau University Medical Center is a 530-bed tertiary care teaching hospital that has been the heart of healthcare in Long Island for over a century. As a Level I trauma center and safety-net hospital, we serve a diverse patient population and are committed to excellence in patient care, medical education, and clinical research.
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as Chairperson of the Department of Cardiology. The successful candidate will lead our cardiovascular services program, oversee clinical operations, and advance our academic mission through research and education.
Minimum qualifications include an MD/DO degree with Board Certification in Cardiology. Candidates must have a current New York State medical license or eligibility A minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in cardiology and a proven track record of administrative leadership in an academic medical center.
Our Cardiologist will provide direct clinical quality initiatives and program development, supervise and mentor faculty, fellows, and residents, maintain and enhance relationships with community physicians and healthcare partners, development of PCI lab and services, oversee the cardiology fellowship program, and manage the departmental budget and resources.
