Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon Opportunity at Progressive Medical Center in New England!
Join our dynamic Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. This position is part of a hospital employed Acute Care Surgery group of 7 surgeons and 7 APPs that provide 24/7 trauma, critical care and emergency general surgery coverage. Schedule consists of a mix of 8, 16 and 24 hour (weekends) in-house shifts with approximately 5 night shifts a month including weekend rotation. This group also functions as intensivists for all surgical patients. About one fourth of the surgical practice is elective, based on patients referred from the community and seen by us in the emergency room. Seven Physician Assistants who are also in house 24/7 and assist us in the OR and ICU are members of this group as well. Candidates must be BC/BE in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
