A health system is seeking a vascular/interventional radiologist for locum tenens coverage.
About the facility locationTop sights in Eastern North Carolina to see include the Biltmore, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the North Carolina Zoo!
About the clinician's workdayThe facility is looking for two full-time providers to be onsite Monday through Friday, with a rotation in the call schedule of either 1:6 or 1:7, which includes nights and weekends. The work schedule is from 7 AM to 7 PM, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities, with each accounting for 50% of the volume. Providers will engage in various tasks, including rounding, conducting consults, taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, educating patients, and executing bedside procedures, while also providing outpatient care through the ARU at Health Medical Center. BLS certification from The American Heart Association is required, and while on call, providers are not obligated to remain on site but must respond to codes. They will not serve as backup in the ER, and it's noteworthy that less than 1% of outpatient visits result in admissions. The clinical team consists of five physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers, ensuring a supportive work environment.
