Clinical Faculty Position: Rheumatology Physician in Academic Medicine

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is currently seeking an experienced, board-eligible Rheumatologist as a Rheumatology Physician in Academic Medicine at Jersey City Medical Center. This is an exceptional opportunity in the Division of Rheumatology within the Department of Medicine, offering a unique blend of clinical care, academic engagement, and scholarly activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate treatment for individuals with rheumatic conditions.
  • Educate and mentor residents and fellows, contributing to the academic excellence of our institution.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the Division of Rheumatology.
  • Participate in outpatient clinic services at our out-patient facilities, conveniently located near the hospital
  • Contribute to the inpatient consult service, providing expertise and support in diagnosing and managing rheumatologic conditions.
  • Assume a full-time role, performing up to eight clinical sessions per week and dedicating two administrative half-days to further enhance departmental initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology.
  • Eligible for a faculty appointment at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (subject to approval)
  • Strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and scholarly activities.
