Open position - Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care

Springhill Medical Group is a multi-specialty group with 11 providers (specialties include: IM, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, and endocrinology) with offices in Pittsburg and Brentwood CA. We have a full time position open for an pulmonary/critical care physician. We are a successful group and our physicians earn a higher than average salary and still have control over their schedule.

Responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide care and support to a wide variety of patients, work in a multi-disciplinary office practice while achieving the work/life balance. The group rounds in only two close hospitals.

Required: Candidates should be Board Certified in pulmonary medicine and critical care or plan on taking the Boards within the first 12 months of employment. Also required is a CA license

The Community: Our physicians live in Walnut Creek, Alamo, Lafayette and Orinda. The schools in these areas are ranked as the best public schools in California. Driving to San Francisco is only 20-30 minutes.

Commute times to the offices are 20-30 minutes. Our location allows you and your family to live in some of best and most beautiful neighborhoods in the East Bay and start a practice in an area with high growth potential.

Compensation and benefits:
  • Base salary $350,000 dependent upon qualifications and experience
  • 500K income potential and may be higher if really motivated
  • Sign on bonus of $20,000.00
  • Additional bonus based upon productivity

Work and call schedule:
  • Critical care call at a local hospital (12 bed ICU) one week per month (7 days). Critical care call requires attendance at the hospital for 12 hours each day and the Physician is responsible for all the patients in the critical care unit.
  • During the 3 weeks when the Pulmonary physician is not on Critical care call the Physical rounds on pulmonary patients in the hospital and works in the office ½ day. (Monday-Friday)
  • After hours and weekend call on the three weeks the physician not assigned to Critical care service: the pulmonary physician will share pulmonary specialty call on a rotational basis with 2 other pulmonary physicians.
