Thoracic Surgical Oncologist

The LSU Health New Orleans/LCMC Health Cancer Center in historic, highly desirable New Orleans seeks a Thoracic Surgeon. The incoming Thoracic Surgeon will participate in an integral opportunity to help develop a new NCI-designated Cancer Care Center. Be instrumental in developing the Thoracic Surgery program as the first Thoracic Surgeon on faculty for an academic health system and community that needs this specialized care.
- Opportunity HighlightsInaugural position to develop an NCI-Designated Cancer Care Center
- Opportunity to partner with the Louisiana Cancer Prevention and Control Program (LCP), which is a series of programs, projects, and studies that currently covers breast, cervical, HPV, colorectal, lung, and other tobacco-related cancers
- Participate in program building around critical patients' needs, such as lung screening
- Provide compassionate clinical care and participate in research and academic pursuits as desired
- Join a mission-oriented comprehensive academic health sciences center that is built to serve communities' and families' unique needs across New Orleans, the Gulf Coast, and beyond
