General Cardiologist - Kings Harbor Comprehensive Care Center
Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is currently seeking a full-time Non-Invasive General Cardiologist to expand our existing group into our recently opened Comprehensive Care Center in Kings Harbor. The successful candidate must be committed to providing unparalleled patient care with excellent clinical skills in diagnosing, treating and managing cardiovascular diseases without resorting to invasive procedures. Advanced Imaging Training is highly desirable but not required. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible with an active (or in the process) Texas Medical License. This is a full-time career opportunity with a competitive base salary plus incentivized bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Evaluation: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and electrocardiograms to diagnose cardiac conditions accurately.
Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, which may include medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referral for specialized care if necessary.
Patient Education: Educate patients about their cardiac conditions, treatment options, and the importance of lifestyle changes to prevent and manage heart disease.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurses, and allied health staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Research: Stay updated on the latest advancements in non-invasive cardiology and participate in clinical research and trials when appropriate.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
Quality Assurance: Adhere to established quality assurance and patient safety protocols to ensure the highest standard of care.
Continuing Education: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with emerging trends and best practices in cardiology.
