St. Peters Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking to recruit a fellowship trained, board certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our outstanding and well-established Cardiac Surgery programs at St. Peters Hospital located in Albany, NY and Ellis Medicine in Schenectady, NY.
This opportunity is an employed position with 25+ employed Cardiologists. There is a robust referral network, from both the employed and non-employed regional cardiology practices with a large geographic catchment area that includes Southern Vermont and Western Massachusetts. The clinic and surgical office are conveniently located on both hospital campuses. There is strong Surgical PA support with 24/7 support at large modern hospital facilities.

Our comprehensive cardiology services include Non-Invasive, EP, Interventional, Structural, and Thoracic physicians. St. Peters Hospital and Ellis Medicine have been consistently recognized by independent health care quality researchers as two of the best cardiac programs in New York state and in the nation.
The practices draw from a broad tri-state area, centered in the Capital District of New York. The team enjoys excellent outcomes based on STS criteria. Services range from minimally invasive surgery to more complex procedures requiring combinations of traditional and advanced techniques. Covering all aspects of cardiac care, except for transplantation, our surgical results have consistently surpassed both the state and national standards.

Requirements:
- Board certification in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Robotic Certification and Experience a plus
- NYS License or eligibility
Opportunity Details:
- Hospital Employed Position
- Program currently performs 700-800 heart cases annually at St. Peters Hospital, and 200-300 heart cases annually at Ellis
- Clinic and Surgical Office conveniently located on hospital campus
- Call Rotation 1:5
- 25+ employed Cardiologists
- Strong in-house CT Surgical PA support
- Modern Hospital Facilities with three Cardiothoracic OR Rooms at St. Peters and two Cardiothoracic OR Rooms at Ellis.
- Robust Referral Network from both the employed and non-employed regional cardiology practices.
