A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

About the facility location

Newport News, Virginia is only a short drive to Virginia Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. From this central Coastal Virginia location, you can experience ships, history, and the great outdoors.

About the clinician's workday

The clinician will have a 50-hour work week with 10 and 12 hour shifts Monday through Friday. The clinician will have 3rd call shifts from 7pm to 7am and weekend call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays in-house from 7am to 7pm. Cases include OB, Ortho, Neuro Intervention, Vascular and Trauma, GI, GU, GYN, Thoracic, CVIR, MRI, Endoscopy, ACS, and minimal Peds. Credentialing takes 60-90 days. The EMR systems used are ICARE and EPIC, and onsite EMR training is provided.
