Duke Health's Kernodle Clinic seeks Gastroenterologist

Duke Health seeks an additional Gastroenterologist for an established GI practice at Kernodle Clinic. Kernodle Clinic is Duke s largest community-based multi-specialty practice, consisting of 55 physicians and 40 mid-level providers covering 15 medical and surgical specialties. The practice includes 75,000 sq. ft. of main office, a walk-in clinic, and two satellite offices. The hired physician s practice will be based at the main office with procedures performed at Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC) located adjacent to the clinic, and a nearby offsite ambulatory facility. Both facilities are well equipped with Olympus equipment and dedicated anesthesia services.

The hired physician will be joining an established Gastroenterology practice with a strong referral base and should expect to quickly build a thriving practice. The practice currently has three GI physicians, and four Advanced Practice Practitioners (e.g., Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner). On average, the GI Department call consists of six consults and a typical inpatient census of eight. Hospital consults and inpatient rounding are handled by the department Physicians and APPs. Practice call is 1:6 nights and weekends.

Centrally located in the piedmont area of North Carolina, Alamance County (pop. 155,000) includes the midsize communities of Burlington, Elon and Mebane, and straddles the Research Triangle and Piedmont Triad Regions of North Carolina.

• Burlington, a city of progress and quality, boasts a population of more than 50,000. Burlington is located only a few hours drive from the picturesque Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains to the west, and the scenic coastal beaches to the east.

• Historic Mebane, one of the fastest growing areas in North Carolina, is a fun place to be where eclectic and unique shopping, dining and activities abound!
