Miami, Florida – University of Miami Medical Group – Staff Physician, Executive/Concierge Medicine

UHealth Premier Concierge Medicine is seeking a qualified internal medicine candidate who will have current American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification and at least 10 years of ambulatory care practice experience in an Executive Health, Concierge Medicine and/or General Internal Medicine setting. This position will report to the Director of Executive Health & Concierge Medicine.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Physician will be available to their patients 24/7, 365, via telephone and digital media (i.e. e-mail or messaging via EMR) except when out of office on leave such as for vacation, medical reasons, or conferences. Weekend call may be shared with other physicians in the UHealth Premier Concierge Medicine practice. Direct patient care in an office setting, courtesy rounds for patients in local hospitals as well as skilled nursing and inpatient rehabilitation facilities. May also include home health visits for homebound patients, if necessary, and participation in community events as UHealth ambassadors. Care coordination and facilitation as well as proper documentation of patient encounters in EPIC are essential to making the concierge medicine practice successful. Prompt communication of results via telephone, electronic messaging (via MyUHealthChart) and/or letters is a top priority.Additional responsibilities include effectively communicating and working with the clinical and non-clinical staff members of the Executive Health/Concierge Medicine team throughout the enterprise.

Qualifications:

M.D. from accredited, US-based medical school (or foreign equivalent)Completion of Internal Medicine residency training programMust possess (or be eligible to possess) Florida license to practice medicineBoard Certification in Internal Medicine (ABIM)10+ years of ambulatory care practice experience in an Executive Health, Concierge Medicine and/or General Internal Medicine setting preferredDemonstrated expertise and commitment to excellence in patient care/educationProficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system is preferred.Effective communication, sound customer service skills and prompt responsiveness are essential in this role.
