BMDACC is a premier program of the Baptist Health System, a 6-hospital system, and the region’s most preferred healthcare provider.  Since October 2015, BMDACC has provided comprehensive multidisciplinary integrated oncology services through a Partnership between Baptist Health System and the nation’s leading cancer center, the Cancer Network® of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the institution’s international program to elevate the quality of cancer care in communities throughout the United States and the world.  Today the Baptist Health System in Jacksonville is one of five unique health systems in the United States to replicate MD Anderson’s proven multidisciplinary model, and philosophy of cancer care, including integration of clinical trials to optimize all aspects of patient care.

In September 2018, BMDACC moved into an iconic 9-story, 330,000 sq. ft. outpatient facility to provide state-of-the-art treatment and subspecialty care, clinical research, and education in all areas of cancer medicine, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology/surgical subspecialties.  To meet the needs of patients and families, the program has grown to include over 50 physicians (including 22 surgeons) and 700 team members to provide prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and wellness/survivorship services in one location.  In-patient care is provided on the same campus at the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, a 500-bed tertiary hospital.  BMDACC has quickly grown to become one of the larger cancer programs in Florida – ranking 4th for new cancer patients (Florida Trend January 2024) – meeting the needs of this community and beyond.

Baptist MD Anderson is an equal opportunity employer who recognizes the value of a diverse faculty.  We demonstrate daily our strong commitment to promoting and ensuring diversity and inclusion among all care providers, regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or background.
