We have an opening for an Infectious Disease Faculty position in Central Brooklyn. One Brooklyn Health is the combination of three-hospitals in one system (Brookdale/Interfaith/Kingsbrook Jewish). In the last three years we have opened a residency in neurology and fellowships in GI, Pulm/Crit, Palliative and Endocrine in addition to the Renal, Heme/Onc and Cardiology that we already had. Family practice will start next year.

The position is 100% ID, predominantly as an inpatient consultant across the system. Resident support is always there. There are opportunities most welcome for ambulatory HIV based on candidate's interest. We have a full-time research director, and the candidate can participate based on their interests. The position also entails routine teaching of medical students and residents and provides sufficient time to allow for publications and participation in the academic life of the hospital. Faculty appointments are available at Downstate and several other schools with which our hospital is a central, and expanding campus.

One Brooklyn Health is 30 minutes from Manhattan and 20 minutes from the most vibrantly growing theatre district and restaurant row in the US which is in Brooklyn. Come to Brooklyn! It is worth the trip!
