Faculty Position

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Boston Children’s Hospital invites applications for a full-time researcher dedicated to discovering how neuroendocrine factors influence risk for mental illness in children and adolescents. Appointment at Harvard Medical School as an Assistant or Associate Professor will be commensurate with experience and requires ongoing teaching. Candidates are expected to be pursuing research in youth with mental or behavioral health disorders, or healthy youth at risk for developing mental or behavioral health disorders, that evaluates the role of alterations to the developmental trajectory and/or function of neuroendocrine process, (including but not limited to stress and sex hormones, and immune function).  The successful candidate will join a community of researchers with similar interests in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, in the Translational Neuroscience Center, and in the Brain, Mind and Behavior Center.

Applicants must possess an MD, MD/PhD and/or PhD (or equivalent) and have at least two years’ postdoctoral experience or the equivalent. The successful candidate will have or be poised to build a successful, independent, extramurally funded research program and have an existing track record of NIH funding, quality publications in the area of neuroendocrine pathways and developmental psychopathology and demonstrate willingness and capacity for transdisciplinary collaboration.
