Physician: Diagnostic Radiology.  Must be ACGME residency trained.  An advanced ACGME fellowship in one of the radiology disciplines or sub disciplines is desirable.  ABMS board eligible or board certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required and maintaining such certification is required.  Must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license in West Virginia and maintain it pursuant to the Board of Medicine’s stipulations.

A physician specializing in diagnostic radiology will, as a component of this private practice, be available to work as scheduled providing physician services and physician oversight to technologists as required pursuant to best practices as developed by the practice management consistent with guidelines of the American College of Radiology (ACR).  On call responsibilities shall be expected consistent with arrangements, both formal and informal, with the primary hospital, WVU Medicine-Camden Clark Medical Center, outside of normal practice business hours which may include nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays, such that hospital services are maintained for primary facilities ED, which may include a designated trauma unit, the ICU area, as well as more routine inpatient care areas.  Determine level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments based on accepted clinical standards in diagnostic radiology and the group consistent with the expected community standard.  Consult with other physicians involved in patient care to optimize course of action for treatment consistent with how the practice interfaces with the medical community.  Document all services in patient’s electronic medical record (currently EPIC based), consistent with best practices of the ACR regarding physician interpretation of radiologic studies.  As this is not an academic position, physician will closely collaborate with, and coordinate care with others in the community setting, including residents in training consistent with normal practice guidelines of the employer.  Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and other patient care programs consistent with large community healthcare facilities, which may include medical students and/or FM residents consistent with the employer’s practice guidelines for same.  At all times, physician will adhere to the primary hospital’s rules, regulations, and medical staff bylaws that are applicable to physicians who are members of the active medical staff and who have designated privileges in diagnostic radiology, as well as those of the employer.
