Emergency Medicine Faculty and Director of Point of Care Ultrasound Program

Emergency Medicine Faculty and Director of Point of Care Ultrasound Program: Kern County Hospital Authority, Bakersfield, CA. Medical Degree or foreign equivalent; Completion of Emergency Medicine and Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship; Possess or be eligible for CA medical license. Salary range $330,000-434,000. Extra Shifts (in excess of 7 per month): $2500 per shift. Signing Bonus: $15,000. Relocation Reimbursement: $7500. Retention Bonus: $10,000. Benefits: Vacation: Eligible to accrue 6.15 hours per pay period; Sick Leave: Eligible to accrue over eight sick days annually; Paid  Holidays: Eight paid, designated holidays plus three floating holidays; Paid Education Leave: 80 hours of paid education leave annually and $2,500 in CME expense reimbursement; Health Benefits: Candidate and eligible dependents will receive the same health benefits (including medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage) as eligible Kern Medical employees.  Required to contribute 20 percent of the biweekly premium as your share of cost. Must work at least 40 hours per biweekly pay period to be eligible for coverage. Retirement: Required to participate in the Kern County  Hospital Authority Defined Contribution Plan for Physician Employees, with Kern Medical contributing a fixed dollar amount of $17,500 per year. Candidate is responsible for 100 percent of the employee contributions to the plan. Employer and mandatory employee contributions to the Plan are made on a biweekly basis. May select to participate in a pre-tax deferred  compensation plan (“457(b) Plan”).
