Gynecologic Oncologist

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a fellowship-trained Gynecologic Oncologist to join a group of six established physicians. Successful candidates will be expected to provide clinical services in gynecologic oncology, including minimally invasive surgery and chemotherapy, have experience with clinical trials, and demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students and residents in our fully accredited University of Connecticut Ob/GYN residency program. Opportunities exist for leadership roles in clinical research and teaching. Academic appointment will be through the University of Connecticut. The division is active in clinical research; both industry and cooperative group sponsored, and has a robust robotic program. As a charter member of the MSK alliance we also have unique opportunities for both clinical and research collaboration.

Hartford HealthCare is a seven-hospital comprehensive, integrated health system. We are seeking a Gynecologic Oncologist for our Central Region, providing patient care out of two to three sites. Call is 1 in 6, with the residents taking all outpatient phone calls after hours. We have a strong collaborative culture, with excellent pathology, radiology, radiation oncology, urologic, colorectal, (as well as many other colleagues), allowing us to deliver exceptional multi-disciplinary care. Our Central Region includes the Hospital of Central Connecticut which is a 446-bed, acute-care community teaching hospital and Level-III trauma center with campuses in New Britain and Southington.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and an ABOG approved fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology
  • Board eligible or board certified in Gynecologic Oncology
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of Connecticut
