Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) is seeking a highly motivated Endocrinologist to join our team to help facilitate quality-based care for a medically diverse population of over 1.3 million patients in the Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) patient service area.   The group fosters a culture inclusive of collegial relationships focusing on patient driven, quality-based care.  As we launch this new service line our leadership team welcomes the opportunity to discuss your interest, professional goals, and vision.

Education, Training, & Experience

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
  • Ability to obtain an active medical license in the State of Georgia
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a medical provider within the specialty of Endocrinology preferred
  • Functions well in a team environment, contributing to and supporting organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Desire to be part of the development of a world-class Endocrinology program and team.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)

Opportunity Overview

  • Position will be in support of our Gainesville campus, a soon to be 700 bed, Level 1 Trauma Center located in beautiful Northeast Georgia
  • Exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of developing a new endocrinology practice with the opportunity to practice in areas of specific interest to you!
  • Ambulatory and inpatient consults
  • Care of the diabetes patients in the hospital including but not limited to diabetes management, insulin pump and CGM management, thyroid and adrenal disease management and any other endocrine disease states
  • Strong cardiology group to coordinate care for patients with metabolic syndromes
  • Recruiting 1 APP and CDE/RD to support new practice
  • Opportunities for research and working with residents from our multidisciplinary GME programs available
  • EMR Platform – Integrated Epic/EHR with HIMSS Stage 7 validation
  • Exceptional employed Hospitalist & Critical Care team, consisting of over 100 providers, offers 24/7 support
