The University of Louisville School of Medicine's Division of Cardiovascular Medicine with UofL Health is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible cardiologist to join the program as a Non-Invasive/General Cardiologist. We are seeking academically oriented clinicians who excel in both patient care and teaching of house staff and fellows with a strong interest in clinical or translational research. The appropriate candidate will have clinical interests in consultative and outpatient cardiovascular care with flexibility to also practice cardiovascular critical care and non-invasive imaging. Noninvasive imaging (echo, MRI, CT, etc.) will be an important part of this job. Excellent opportunities for collaborative research exist with the state-of-the-art facilities at the Institute of Molecular Cardiology. Applicants must possess or be eligible for Kentucky licensure.
UofL Cardiology has a robust academic department consisting of specialists in all subdivisions of Cardiology including electrophysiology and complex ablations, interventional and structural cardiology, heart failure & transplant/mechanical device support, ECMO, complex cardiac and aortic/vascular surgery, cardio-oncology, preventive cardiology, and advanced imaging.
Research initiatives will be encouraged and candidates will be expected to establish an academic portfolio and an area of expertise. Fellow and resident education is an integral component of the job. There are opportunities for academic advancement and leadership in committees depending on the level of interest and performance.
