This non-profit program is one of the top ranked cancer centers in the country, with an international reputation for quality of care.

The Division of Hospital Medicine at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking highly qualified, board certified or eligible physicians to meet the needs of our growing program on the Duarte campus.

Position Highlights:

Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with a world class, nationally recognized team of medical, surgical, and radiation cancer specialists and other health care professionals. Both roles report to the Chief of Hospital Medicine within our Department of Medicine. Additional experience or interest in treating Hematology or Medical Oncology patients is highly preferred.

Full-time Nocturnist:

  • Cover only one location at Helford Hospital which includes state-of-the-art facilities
    • 144 beds, 8 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms
  • Division currently includes 16 team members (Hospitalists, Nocturnists & APP)
  • Annual shift requirement: 147 shifts (7p – 7a + some flex shifts)
  • On-site pulmonary critical care support 24/7
  • APP support as well as fellows, in-house surgeons, and pediatricians
  • Procedures not required

Qualifications:

  • Early to mid-career candidates encouraged to apply
  • Active or eligible for California medical license
  • Board certified/eligible, internal medicine or hospital medicine preferred

Full-time Hospitalist:

  • Coverage at only one location, City of Hope Medical Center, Duarte
  • State-of-the-art facilities: 215 bed hospital, 10 operating rooms and 4 procedure rooms
  • Growing Division of Hospital Medicine with 16 team members
  • Annual shift requirement: 154 shifts (7a – 7p)
  • 7 on, 7 off block schedules
  • On-site pulmonary critical care support 24/7
  • APP support as well as fellows, in-house surgeons, and pediatricians
  • Procedures not required
  • Excellent opportunity for candidates interested in hematology and oncology patients

Qualifications:

  • Early to mid-career candidates encouraged to apply
  • Active or eligible for California medical license
  • Board certified/eligible, internal medicine or hospital medicine preferred

Position Benefits:

  • MGMA competitive salary and benefits package. Our current benefits are:
    • Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, AD&D, life, Malpractice, and CME allowance
    • City of Hope adds up to 20% of salary to your retirement account each year, up to a maximum of $61,000
  • Base Salary: $304,615.00 *The salary range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits.  Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.
  • Physicians working for City of Hope Medical Group are now eligible to apply for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program
  • Relocation offered on a case-by-case basis
