The Gulf Coast VA Medical Center at Eglin AFB, is seeking a full-time, Board Certified, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to serve as its Chief Medical Officer. Nestled between Fort Walton and Valparaiso, Eglin AFB is a great place to live and work, with a low cost of living, a rich historical past dating to 1559, and no state income tax! Highlights of this position include:
  • Competitive Starting Salary $240,000-275,000
  • Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm or 8am-4:30pm
  • You may be expected to travel in this position
  • Coordinate and oversee clinical and administrative activities of staff and patient care
  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of clinic
  • Devotes 50% of time to direct patient care
  • Supervision of Physicians, PA’s, NP’s, and clinical staff
  • Oversight and coordination of educational programs
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
  • Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State

Additional Requirements:
  • Board certified in Internal or Family Medicine
  • Three or more years’ experience in primary/family medicine practice
  • Two or more years’ experience as primary care provider in VA facility
