The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a full-time, BC, compassionate Palliative Care Physician to serve with our Home-Based Primary Care Team. Candidates must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and exceptional health of our Veterans. Highlights of this position include:
  • Competitive Starting Salary $180,000-$280,000
  • Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm.
  • Assume a leadership role of the Home-Based Primary Care (HBPC)
  • Advocate for HBPC with VHA leadership and the medical community
  • Collaborate with community home health and hospice agencies as needed
  • Provide clinical input and oversight
  • Arrange coverage and communicate plan to team members
  • Perform administrative functions, chart and performance reviews
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
  • Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
Additional Requirements:
  • Training in Primary Care including BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is required
  • Additional training in Geriatric Medicine and/ or Palliative Care are preferred
