McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), Hospitalist in the Department of Surgery, Division of Organ Transplantation. The selected candidate will contribute to the department's mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The Rank of Hospitalist in Surgery requires inpatient care at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The candidate is expected to provide both pre-operative and post-operative care for Kidney, Liver, and Pancreas transplant recipients.

Collaborating with other physicians

Facilitating reasonable and appropriate access to patients by research staff

Assisting when requested with the collection of research data, including biological specimens and

Providing information and education on ongoing research studies to potentially eligible research subjects

The Hospitalist will be assisted by inpatient APP and report to medical and surgical transplant attendings.


Must possess a Medical Degree (MD)
Completed an internal medicine residency.
