Physician – Board Certified Gastroenterologist
At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. As a premier multi-specialty physicians' practice located in the northern Baltimore suburban community, we connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care. Our practice includes in-house specialists in 10 areas of medicine, from cardiology to podiatry. We also offer unique services like our ambulatory surgery center and nuclear stress testing facility. Each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.
We are seeking to hire a full-time Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join our team! Candidates must have proven experience diagnosing, treating, and managing gastrointestinal tract and liver conditions. You will consult with patients, perform colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopies and endoscopic procedures. You will collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other health care professionals to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Diagnose and treat conditions and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver.
- Perform patient examinations and analyze their medical histories.
- Perform endoscopic procedures, colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies.
- Explain test results and pathological outcomes to patients.
- Consult with oncologists and surgeons regarding cancer and surgical cases.
- Complete chart notes and documentation in the EMR system in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with the nurse manager of the ASC and the team of trained support staff.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including primary care.
- Takes call at the hospital.
Education and Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) is required.
- Active state medical license.
- Relevant training and/or board certification as a Gastroenterologist.
- Proven expertise performing colonoscopies and endoscopic procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a good rapport with patients.
- Proficiency in EMR/ computer skills with a willingness to learn new applications.
- Shall speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
