Job Title: Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA)

The Department of Palliative, Rehabilitation, and Integrative Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA). The successful candidate will provide clinical and research expertise in patient care in Integrative Medicine, and an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents, observer, visitors, and students of cancer medicine.  Candidates must possess a Medical Degree licensed in Texas with a fellowship or experience in Integrative Medicine.  Refer to the Department of Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, and Integrative Medicine Web page for additional information about the department and its programs. Qualifications:

1. Physician with doctorate-level degree in the field of Internal Medicine and sub-specialties, Anesthesiology, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Family Medicine. Previous training in palliative care or symptom control desirable Must be able to work within a context of very intense interpersonal relationships with other physicians, patients, and subordinates. Licensed to practice in Texas Board certified (or obtained within departmental timeline), unless exempted

Experience:

2 years of experience as Instructor or 5 years post degree with any combination of time as a

• Clinician
• Clinical Scientist or
• GME trainee (except specialties with shorter residencies or fellowships)
