Part Time Ob/Gyn Laborist Position with Private Practice

Essex County Ob/Gyn is a private, physician-owned practice based in Beverly, Massachusetts. We are affiliated with Beverly Hospital, part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health Network. We are composed of 13 Ob/Gyn physicians, 8 Certified Nurse Midwives, 3 Nurse Practitioners and 2 Physicians Assistants. We care for a diverse population with a wide range of conditions. In terms of obstetric care, we are able to successfully care for both low and high-risk individuals and have the availability of Maternal Fetal Medicine consultants on our campus as well as 40 minutes away in Boston.

We are seeking a generalist Ob/Gyn for nighttime and weekend labor and delivery and gynecology call coverage. The position includes a minimum of 2 weekday night call shifts weekly (12 hours per shift) and once monthly weekend coverage (both day and night shifts). Opportunity for office sessions and surgery can also be added to the position, if desired. Total hours estimated 24 to 32 hours weekly. We work closely with Certified Nurse Midwives, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.

Physicians have access to state-of-the-art equipment for gynecologic surgery including advanced laparoscopy, 2 robots, and in-office hysteroscopy. Beverly Hospital is a level 3 hospital with 24-hour anesthesia, 24-hour neonatal, and a level 2B nursery that performs over 2000 deliveries annually.
