Trauma Surgeon with Methodist Health System, Mansfield TX
Methodist Medical Group is currently seeking a board-certified or board-eligible trauma surgeon to join a group of five well-established general surgeons affiliated with Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. The successful candidate will be working with the Trauma Medical Director as we develop the hospital’s new trauma program. Methodist Mansfield is currently a Level 3 trauma center in pursuit of Level 2 designation. This highly regarded, acute-care facility has 262 beds, 40 ED rooms, 29 ICU’s and 8 OR’s. Methodist Mansfield recently celebrated fifteen years of serving the community. The hospital has over 75 specialty services and has achieved exceptional safety scores, earned local and national honors and Magnet designation. Methodist Mansfield is ranked among the top five percent in the nation for patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
Mansfield, Texas is a rapidly-growing, family-friendly city of 75,000 with an abundance of new housing and an excellent public school system. The city is conveniently located between Dallas and Ft Worth and just south of the Dallas/Ft Worth international airport.
The Methodist Mansfield Emergency Department provided care for 53,000 patient visits in 2021 with 1800 of those categorized as Level 3 Trauma. The trauma volume is expected to increase significantly with the upcoming Level 2 designation.
Candidate must be fellowship trained in surgical critical care and board certified. Clinical responsibilities will include in-house Level 2 Trauma call and the opportunity to build an elective practice.
