OBGYN LABORIST

One of the premier tertiary medical systems on the east coast, serving the northeast and central Pennsylvania regions, is recruiting an OB Laborists/Hospitalist to join their team at a community-based hospital in a suburb of State College PA. They are looking for a candidate to do 10 24hr calls monthly, 1-2 weekend days, and 8-weekday shifts. Presently, the group consists of 4 FT Generalists, 1 PT Generalist, 1 GYN physician, 1 Laborist, 4 CNMs, and 3 APPs. They are averaging 40 deliveries monthly and their C-Section rate is 18%. Their expansion will improve clinic access for the generalists and reduce CNM hours. The hospital is a 120-bed facility with a level IV trauma center. The offer includes a very generous salary and benefits package and occurrence-based malpractice coverage.
