Endocrinologist

The Portland VA Health Care System is currently recruiting one board certified/eligible Endocrinology physician dedicated to patient-centered, high-quality medical care to join our growing endocrine care team located in Portland, Oregon. Successful applicants will have an interest in working in a collegial environment emphasizing multidisciplinary approaches to patient care and research, and a commitment to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Both newly trained or experienced physicians will be considered for the current position that includes an academic appointment at Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) commensurate with experience. Our team provides outpatient and inpatient Endocrine consultative care both in-person and via tele-medicine. Diabetes care is provided using a team-based approach alongside Advanced Practice Providers as well as Certified Diabetes Educators and Nutritionists. The workweek is M-F with light day/weekend call. Job Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship.
• All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
• Subject to background/security investigation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.
