The Department of Pediatrics at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, Division of Pediatric Cardiology is seeking a full-time BC/BE fellowship trained Adult Congenital Heart Disease cardiologist to join a growing, well-established group of academic cardiologists. Training in Med-Peds or Pediatric Cardiology is preferred. Primary clinical responsibilities will be in Adult Congenital Heart disease with participation in outpatient clinic, inpatient care and non-invasive imaging. Additional responsibilities include ACHD program development and the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. An interest in clinical research is encouraged. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The cardiology division is housed within the Dorothy and Larry Dallas Heart Center at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. The Heart Center opened in 2009 and underwent significant expansion in 2016. An active congenital heart surgery program exists, and the hospital houses state-of-the-art operating rooms, a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit, a pediatric intensive care unit, a hybrid cardiac catheterization lab/operating suite and a dedicated bi-plane electrophysiology suite. SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is a free-standing children's hospital, and is staffed by faculty members of Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Additional sites include: SSM St. Mary's Hospital, the regional hub for high-risk obstetrics and home to the SSM Cardinal Glennon Fetal Care Institute; and SSM Saint Louis University hospital, the medical teaching hospital for Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
