St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking a Fellowship trained, Board Certified Thoracic Surgeon to join our outstanding and well-established Thoracic Surgery practices located in the Capital District, New York.

The Thoracic Surgeons perform a full range of surgical procedures in a high-volume community-based hospital setting within a physician governed environment on the campuses of St. Peter s Hospital in Albany and Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

Requirements for this opportunity include:

  • Board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
  • Robotic Certification and experience a plus
  • NYS License or eligibility
  • A minimum of two years of working experience preferred

St. Peter s Health Partners Medical Associates, P.C, a physician-governed, multi-specialty group, is a member of St. Peter s Health Partners in NY's Capital District. St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates provides a new model of physician practice that permits St. Peter s Health Partners to evolve as a health system with strong physician participation while allowing physicians to retain those aspects that make private practice work well in the care of patients. It is one of the largest multi-specialty physician group practices in the region with more than 20 specialties and sub-specialties represented, over 350 providers in 2014, and more than 40 office locations in a six county region.

St. Peter s Health Partners, the region s largest private-sector employer, with more than 12,500 employees, has more than 125 locations across seven counties. St. Peter s Health Partners was created on October 1, 2011, by the merger of Northeast Health, St. Peter s Health Care Services, and Seton Health. Ellis Hospital provides emergency, inpatient medical/surgical and psychiatric care for Albany, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties in upstate New York. Specialty services include a nationally recognized Heart Center, a New York State designated Stroke Center, and advanced surgery programs such as cardiothoracic, orthopedic, neurological, and vascular, among others. The facility features state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, a modern 36-bed Intensive Care Unit and one of the most advanced health information technology systems in Northeastern New York.
