Position: Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon
Target Start Date: One position in 2023 and the second positioin in 2024
Hours: Full-time

What you will need:

License: Illinois or license pending
Education: Surgical Critical Care fellowship recommended
Certification: BC/BE American Board of Surgery

What you will do:

The candidate will join a team of 28 partners in the multispecialty General Surgery Division, specifically with 9 surgeons dedicated to acute care/trauma services. The division is also comprised of fellowship trained surgeons in colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and hepatobiliary subspecialties. Responsibilities include emergency general surgery, coverage for our Level 1 Trauma Center at Evanston Hospital in Cook County, Level II Trauma coverage at Highland Park Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital and ICU coverage for our surgical patients. The division faculty oversees Residency and Fellowship Programs through the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Teaching opportunities, academic appointment, and research opportunities are available for interested and qualified candidates.
