NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is looking Program Director for Internal Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital who will be responsible for the ACGME Internal Medicine Residency Program, including compliance with applicable program requirements. Our ACGME program includes 112 residents and 40 fellows.
The Program Director must administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to training residents in each of the ACGME competency areas and in conformance with hospital and GME policies and procedures. The Program Director reports to the Vice Chief of Education and the Department Chief. The Program Director is responsible to the Designated Institutional Official, the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and to the ACGME’s Residency Review Committee for the timely and accurate completion of all tasks and their quality related to the residency program. Program director duties include oversight of education, GME Governance, compliance with regulatory requirements and maintenance of accreditation.
NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is a 651-bed academic institution, a designated ACS level 2 trauma center, and academically affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine. We have been caring for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding communities for over than 135 years. The hospital’s academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.

The salary range for this position is $300k to $370k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.
The selected candidate will hold an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.
