Pediatric Neurology Opportunity in Miami
The Department of Neurology at the University of Miami Health Miller School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology in the Pediatric Neurology Division.
Job Description:
- Clinical focus will be in the evaluation and treatment of development, academic deficiencies/learning disorder, epilepsy, childhood onset migraine and other headache syndromes, movement disorders and neuromuscular disorders
- Will be reporting to the Chief of the Division of Child Neurology and the Chairman of the Department of Neurology.
- Participation in the training program of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Neurology Residency Training Program
- Will be expected to provide teaching students, residents, and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as attendance at resident and fellowship events/conferences
- Participation in research programs
- Outpatient Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule, Inpatient Call schedule: 1 week per month
- Staff mix: 4 Physicians, LNPs, 2-3 medical assistants, 2 clinical assistants, 1 administrative assistant
- 12-20 patients per day
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires an MD degree from an accredited University (or foreign equivalent)
- Board Certified in Neurology
- Candidates trained in reading/interpretation of EEGs
- Applicants must have or be eligible to obtain a Florida Medical License
