Hospitalist

Hospitalist with Asante Physician Partners at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center, 500 SW Ramsey Ave, Grants Pass, Oregon 97527. Requirements are medical degree or foreign equivalent. Completion of Internal Medicine Residency. Eligible to obtain or has obtained an Oregon medical license. Board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine. Duties are medical doctor who admits and treats hospital patients who require inpatient care for internal medicine related problems. The primary role is to manage the care of patients who are hospitalized, coordinating with other members of the healthcare team as needed. This includes ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, consulting specialists, documenting patient care and progress in medical records, and managing the overall plan of care for the patients. Evaluate patients in the emergency department and assess their need to get admitted to the hospital. Manage the care of critically ill patients and coordinate the transfer of patients to other facilities to ensure their medical needs are met. Lastly, communicate with patients’ primary care physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure that patient’s care is coordinated and that all relevant information is shared.
